Covered yarn, also known as wrapped yarn, is a new type of yarn structure, which is based on filament or staple fiber as the core, wrapped in another filament or staple fiber yarn. The outer cladding yarn covers the core yarn in a spiral manner. It is characterized by uniform strip, bulky plump, smooth yarn and less hairiness, high strength, less broken ends.

It is an ideal yarn for high-grade fine wool, hemp fabric, jacquard double-layer weft knitted fabric and warp knitted fabric. Covering yarn for the thickness of the yarn can be spun, which is mostly elastic yarn, suitable for weaving sports tights, such as swimming suits, ski suits, women's underwear and so on. Covering yarn according to the use, choose the appropriate core yarn and outer yarn, its strength is higher than any kind of single yarn.
